FAQ

Answers before you land.

Licences, mileage, charges, and deposits — the questions we hear most at Heathrow T5.

What do I need to bring?

A full valid driving licence held for at least twelve months (twenty-four for sports and luxury), a secondary photo ID, and the payment card used to secure the booking. International visitors may need an IDP depending on licence country.

Is mileage unlimited?

Standard UK hires include unlimited mileage within England, Scotland, and Wales. Republic of Ireland crossings require prior approval and optional cover.

How does fuel work?

Petrol and diesel cars are supplied full and should return full unless you purchased a fuel package. EVs should return at or above the agreed state of charge — typically 70%.

Can I add an additional driver?

Yes, during booking or at handover. Each additional driver must present their licence and sign the rental agreement in the app.

What about ULEZ and Congestion Charge?

Vehicle emissions class is shown before you pay. Hybrid and electric fleet vehicles meet ULEZ. Congestion Charge is the driver’s responsibility in central London unless your company account says otherwise.

When is my deposit released?

We release the security hold within 24 hours of return if the vehicle is received in agreed condition. Toll or charge notices may delay release until reconciled.
